We are a family business manufacturing bespoke leather goods to order. We also undertake repairs and small batch production. We are based in Kettering in the heart of rural north Northamptonshire, historically a centre of the leather industry, and surrounded by a number of equestrian establishments. All goods are cut, stitched and finished by hand using traditional tools and techniques, and wherever possible best quality English bridle leather is used. A range of fittings are available in a choice of finishes. For repairs, every effort is made to match materials and fittings to the originals. Fittings can also be supplied separately if required. This website is intended to illustrate the range of work that we undertake, and the types of goods available to purchase. All goods are made to order to the customer's specification, and some are available through my on line shop. If you would like to order made to measure items or wish to discuss bespoke goods to your own design, please get in touch - use the Contact Us page or telephone on the number shown at the bottom of the page. Thomas, Royal Norfolk Show 2008
We competed with Thomas, our Dutch Warmblood, locally and at County show level until his retirement in 2008. He competed at dressage, showed and enjoyed the occasional day out with the Woodland Pytchley Hunt. He sadly passed away in late 2011. Thomas was the inspiration behind my training as a bridlemaker.
I gained a degree in Rural Resource Development (Wildlife and Conservation Management) at Writtle Agricultural College in 1996 and subsequently trained as a bridlemaker with Master Saddler Robin Coleman in Kenilworth, for whom I still work. In 2005 I started my own business. I undertake all the leather goods manufacturing and repairs. Kiri has owned horses all her life and also attended Writtle Agricultural College where she studied for a National Diploma in horse studies. She has worked as a professional groom in a private yard in Belgium, and for a number of years at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire looking after their hunt and stud yards. Kiri conducts the business administration.
